Hello Acer expert world,

I have an Acer 11 Chromebook (my daughter's), Series CB311-8H, been in use (school mainly) for just over a year.

A week ago it was not turning on but, for reasons unknown, then did - I had charged it to blue light, it turned on after I had reset using the power and arrow keys, then power. It opened with my daughter's password screen. Following youtube advice I ran a battery check. 95% good. I turned it off and on again, it started in brand new set up mode. I switched it off and..

Now it will not turn on. No lights at all. Power leads (I have tried 2) working. I removed the battery for a few seconds, then tried again, nothing, no responses at all, pretty much dead. I don't think there is a pin hole battery reset, at least I cannot find one.

But it worked - what am I not doing right?

Grateful for advice please, thanks.
Matt

Hi, sorry to hear it. Kindly try to do hard reset by following the below steps on the computer and check.

    Hard reset
    *************
    1.    Press the power button to turn off your Chromebook until all the lights in the unit goes off and unplug all the cables if in case any cable is plugged in.
    2.    Press and hold the Refresh (the 4th key in the first row of the keyboard) + Power key for 20 secs. then try to turn on the unit and check.

Kindly click "YES" to "Did this answer the question" if my answer helped you!
Thank you and have a Blessed Day  :3

    Hi MartinJohn00001, thanks for answering.

No I have tried that a number of times (and again now) - no response.  There are no lights at all.  ?
