I just got my new AN515-53 and went to install the XPG GAMMIX S11Pro M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3x4 SSD and it won't recognize it in windows or bios. I disconnected the main HDD and I get a screen when booting "no compatible HDD". I switched from the default (something optane) to AHCI and no changes. I swapped a known good SSD (same make, model but 256gb) and the exact same thing happened. I'm running bios V1.19.

Any help would be appreciated

Sorry the message I get is "no bootable drive" not "no compatible HDD"

    Hi,
I think these SSDs are meant for gaming desktops and I could see them working in some laptops, this SSD supports NVMe 1.3 and may have come with extra features which are not supported by your model and also this SSD comes with the heat sink which is not suitable for laptops due to space constraints.
I would suggest you to go for simple SSD like Samsung 970 EVO.
