Hi everyone,

i have an acer aspire laptop which is currently running Windows 10.

sometimes when the laptop powers down or runs out of battery. On rebooting, it states “NO BOOTABLE DRIVE”.

In the past clicking f2 to go into the BIOS, ensuring UEFI is enabled / switching to legacy hitting F10, then switching back to UEFI when the laptop boots up has normally resolved the problem.
As the moment though it doesn’t seem to be working despite this problem happening yesterday and it did work.
I checked that the hard drive is number 1 on boot up as well.

Any help is is greatly appreciated as I really don’t want to buy a new laptop.

    At first, try battery reset.
    > Unplug all the cables ( even the power cable )
    > Turn off the device and flip the unit
    > at the rear end look for battery reset pinhole ( you would see a battery icon next to the hole )
    > Now use any suitable tool. Insert in to this pinhole then press and hold it for 40 sec.

Post this boot the device into BIOS and set your BIOS to defaults. Later make sure the boot mode is selected to UEFI and not LEGACY. Now test if the device boots in.

Have you checked your HDD health status. If not please use acer care center to test the HDD status. I think this issue happening due to failing HDD.
