Ye, that's total trash and looks like a ritual to me. Turn on laptop, turn on predator sense, turn in off \ on \ off, and then I can play games. Some games that run on 100+ fps look okay with overdrive ON, so I don't bother, but mostly its trash, and I have to fix it.

And I'm 100% there are a lot of general users who don't know it, see that image is bad, see that other brands have a better image and then switch to MSI and other guys. But the reason is just crappy software.

    Found a solution. Kind of.
    You have to:
    1. Set the setting that corresponds the turned off overdrive
    2. Uninstall predator sense app from start menu
    3. Uninstall predator sense service from control panel - programs and featires
    4. Restart
    5. Install predator sense v. 3138 from here: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/8316?b=1 (it have all necessery config files for our model, even when model is newer)
    6. Restart.
    7. Profit (no overdrive turned on on boot).

Maybe it will work for you also.
