I followed many of the tipps to downgrade my bios from 1.22 to 1.13 and it works, however as soon as I restart windows says it needs to update and reinstalls 1.22. Any help would be great

This does not fix the issue, at Predator boot screen it says "please wait while we install system update" right below the Predator logo. This is after disabling windows updates.

Sixfootdig how did you disabled windows updates you have to disable them via regedit, group policy and services and probably also on task scheduler or it will get back on automatically every time you  restart if you are sure all is completely disabled and youre still facing this issue probably you created some kind of bios update boot loop when you downgraded and also did you reset to bios default settings after you had downgraded and a battery power drain wouldnt be a bad idea either

I will thoroughly end windows update in the manner you suggested. Then i will default the bios and see how that goes. I had just paused updates for 2weeks

Pausing the updates will not disable them it will only stop major OS updates from being downloaded it will still auto update any drivers/firmware (this was just another way that MS to say to the users that they could have the power to disable updates as they used to have on win7 because of the so many complaints about it but in reality you cant by only doing that) the service has to be disabled completely and a registry entry has to be added to the registry also as i stated group policy might have some entries and sometimes task scheduler any way keep us posted.

PS: just wondering why would you want to downgrade the bios any particular reason (bare in mind to all users that downgrading the bios its a very risky operation and might result in bricking you unit completely if not done properly)  personally i wont advise it to anyone so do it at your own risk if you really feel the need to

My machine is running hotter and there is now a backlight timeout on my keyboard. They have resolved this with other models in their latest bios but not yet for mine unfortunately

For anyone here to know we are talking about G3-571 correct ? and yes this bios feature was implemented on 1.22 if im not mistaken for all models and an optio to disable it was added to the advanced tab on 1.24/25 and over i know in fact because i repasted a nitro 5 yesterday and it was on 1.22 (stock) with the 30s timeout and i updated it to the latest 1.26 if i record and i just disabled the timeout in the bios :) my G3-572 came with 1.19 stock and i updated to 1.20 just for curiosity not that i had any issues and im still on the same till today (almost 19 months after) and not updating as i never had any issues that would make me update it

I am on 1.22 in my G3-572 and that timeout option isn't enabled by default in my PC.

I thought the bios would be the same for all G3-57X models because they seem to share the same mobo but aparently they arent :) so @XdxD how lucky are we :)
