I'm looking to utilize my USB-C ports. I need a hub to convert to USB 3.0 TYPE A ports. Need a few for music production purposes - 2 USB MIDI controllers, mouse and keyboard, USB audio interface - all use a total of 5 USB 2.0 or 3.0 Type A ports. So I'm missing 2 USB Type A ports.

Of the two USB-C ports - I understand that the port closest to the USB 3.0 (type A) is a Thunderbolt 3 (40Gb/s) and the second port to the far right is a USB 3.1 gen 2 (10Gb/s) - does this mean I CAN'T use those "Dual USB C hubs" you find being marketed for Macbook Pro 2016 up?

If it's fine, what would you recommend? The distance between the dual USB-C ports, is it standard? So a dual USB-C hub for an MBP would also fit the Predator Helios 500?

Or does it matter that one is Thunderbolt 3 and the other USB 3.1 Gen 2? Therefore safer to use the "single USB-C hub"?

Any recommendations?

As for what is in the hub - I would prioritize - at least two (2) USB 3.0 TYPE A ports, a pass through for the USB 3.1/Thunderbolt 3 TYPE C port (hopefully the hub doesn't cover the USB 3.0 port and the RJ45 LAN port).

Thank you,
Bryan D.
