I have 2 Acer V3-111p-C6LC. Neither of them will the touchpad work, no touch and no cursor. They hd Windows 8.1 on them when I purchased them and both touchpads worked. These are both touchscreen as well.
I installed Windows 10 and neither touchpad would work.
I re-installed Win 8.1 and again, neither worked.
I installed Bios updates.
I installed all the drivers from Acer site.
I installed Synaptec drivers from manufatures site as well.
I removed the batt and checked the cable connections as well.
I assume that because of the 8.1 upgrades from Microsoft they are the root cause maybe. I do not know how to get back the OLD 8.1 that worked and MS is of no help.
Both units were working with the old 8.1.
At this time I have run out of ideas of what could be the cause and any input would be appreciated.

Download the intel IO chipset drivers for Windows 8.1. Run the setup for the driver in "compatability mode" and install. You will need to restart the computer. Download
Then download and install the Synaptics (or Elan) driver and restart. If the trackpad is not immediatley active on the restart, hit Function F7.

    >>If still the touchpad is not working, install the chipset driver Download
Try the windows 8.1 touchpad driver.
Synaptics : Download     ELANTECH : Download
