Keyboard on CB3-131 not properly functioning

My keyboard on my Chromebook CB3-131 recently stopped functioning properly. Some keys work and some don’t do anything. I tried unplugging the cable and reinstalling it and did a powerwash with no changes. I downloaded the recovery utility onto a thumbdrive and tried to boot into recovery mode, but could not get the laptop to do it holding Esc + Refresh down and tapping on the power, just would restart and go to sign in page. Any suggestions on how to fix the keyboard?
