Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM won’t turn on

I bought it from amazon in october 2017 so it’s past warranty.

It turned off on me today while I was watching something and it won’t turn back on. When I press the power button, I hear the fan(?) for maybe half a sec, the backlight for the keyboard turns on, and the little blue light at the bottom turns on. The little orange light turns on too when I plug in the charger. 

That’s all, the screen doesn’t turn on and there is no sound coming from the laptop.

I’m an ***** when it comes to tech stuff and I live in a very small, remote town that’s far from any tech repair places.

Any ideas?

Hi, @tonyd3Try to do battery reset. Follow the steps below:
1) Unplug power cable from device.
2) Close the lid if open then flip it upside down. 
3) Find small symbol for battery and next to it there should be a small pin hole. 
4) Use a paperclip or something smaller to press and hold for 10-15 seconds.
5) Then turn on the device and test the battery.
