Helios 300 G3-571 - Not turning on/no leds lit when plugged in

Hello,
I have an Acer Predator Helios 300 (G3-571 model) which doesn't turn on, no led lits at all when I plug it to the charger (tried with 2 different chargers, one that I use with another a newer Helios 300 model).

I tried removing and re-attaching the battery but made no difference, same with the ram sticks.

My best guess would be that a component is fried, I saw no visual indication of a fried component, but I could have missed it.

If someone has had a similar issue, please let me know what could be the problem.

    Hello! Have you tried resetting the internal lithium battery?
    Also, have you checked the rtc battery?

    Have you also checked that the switch button is being pressed correctly?

    Castillo2019 in the worst case you have a fried mobo probably by the symptoms you had described above if youre still on warranty send it for repair asap if not try to find a donor mobo on aliexpress for ex but i can tell you now even if you manage to find it it wont be cheap

    Ps: make sure you have first tried all the solutions above described by @egydiocoelho including checking you cmos battery if its dead or not

    I tried everything mentioned above, and I agree, the motherboard is most likely the problem.

    Mine does absolutely nothing when I plug the charger, no lights on the mobo, nothing.

    Ok so, I was lookly closely and noticed that when I plug the charger, there's a small 1-second tick sound, but I can't figure out where it's coming from.

    I have another Helios 300 laptop (newer model), but I don't want to void the warranty by opening it to swap components (such as the battery, ram, etc) to see if it's a specific one causing the problem.
    I'll have to find a repair shop to take a look at it.

    It's technically under warranty, but since it was opened multiple times, I don't believe it's still covered by it, which is why I said it wasn't the first time.
    Plus, I bought the laptop from Amazon US by using a courier from Argentina.

    Castillo2019 You would have to contact Acer directly and find out because i suspect because you imported it it might not have warranty a usually the warranty its only valid in the country of origin

  • I've seen reports from other users that some nitro 5 models didn't turn on because of a keyboard problem. Try pressing a few keyboard keys and with them still pressed, press the power button. Make sure the notebook turns on.

    Sadly that's not the case here, does absolutely nothing.

    honestly i think the power rail on your motherboard is gone, the little click can be a relay to prevent spikes.
