Set TS to -.125 without creating profile. Set taskschedule to start T'S at win login.
T'S starts minimized in tray buy it's green icon do I have to turn it on each time I login to win. So icon goes red.
Screenshots are at login when T'S icon is green.
Hwmon shows offsets @125 when T'S icon is green so I assume the offset is applied.

I'm looking for ThrottleStop confs for my Helios 500-ph517-51. Some of us don't have Facebook, nor care to sign up. Can someone please retrieve and post the confs here? Thank you!

Otherwise I can try to locate my TS.inI file and post

    Thanks @lastofthefew
My settings were already roughly the same.  But this is odd.  Even at idle I can't seem to get less than about 54C and my clock speed is 2194 Mhz or so at best.  Anyone have any ideas?  In case you're wondering, I actually already repasted my CPU/GPU by following a Youtube video and using "Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Thermal Grease Paste" from Amazon.  My biggest issue -- overheating (primary) to where the laptop just auto-shuts off and what I would assume ot be sub-par performance (secondary) considering the clock speed I'm getting.  I'm "this close" to going back to a Desktop PC after the enormous amount of time spent fiddling with these issues. :anguished:

Here's my HWMonitor and TS main screen.

@lastofthefew Thanks for your continued help. My TPL was identical to yours, but in FIVR my Turbo Ratio Limits were slightly different for Core 3-6 (about 1 to 2 notches less).  I matched yours now and I'm not seeing much difference. Also if I switch between CPU Core and CPU Cache on the FIVR page the only difference is that IccMax is 255.75 for CPU Core vs 11.0 for CPU Cache -- is yours the same?  With these tweaks I'm averaging about 15C hotter temps than you are...something is definitely off.  I'm starting to question my paste job...hmm.

Here's my TS screen now after the Turbo Ratio Limits tweak above.

Apfan yeah my fvir  iccmax are same as yours which is default . your max temps are like mine but you min temps are way off @ idle ie not playing games or doing anything heavy im in the 30's i do use a cooler table but @ idle or whilst light computing its set to very low so i doubt its making a difference also my fans rarely come on during light computing not even when watching movies
if you have copied my settings exactly and your 50+ @ idle something is wrong heres mine now @ idle

have you changed anything in TPL ?? here is mine . i left this default as im unsure what to do here other than to select "enable speed shift when throttlestop starts"

If anyone reading this thread has experience with TS please advise what to do with TPL page . im guessing to watch the power draw of the cpu during gaming and see if it maxs to the turbo power max limits and begins to throttle droping the cpu clock frq if so you raise the turbo max limits to prevent throttle.
Turbo time limit guessing it how long in secs it turbo boosts for ?

I did not change anything in TPL.  I actually contacted Acer Support and have arranged for them to have a look at my laptop as it's still under warranty.  Perhaps they'll decide to repaste or replace my motherboard...who knows.  Only bummer is I'll be without a PC for (I'm told) 5 to 7 business days.  I'll let you know how things go once they return my machine.  Hopefully they're able to fix it.  Thanks!

UPDATE: I sent my laptop into Acer for repair and my overheating issues are GONE! I would suggest for anyone having this sort of issue to refrain from undervolting and instead work with Acer (if you're still under warranty) to resolve your issue. Worked for me!
