How do you know how much power your battery has?

I have never owned a laptop before and I will not have one for another week. I want to break in the battery but no one has written as to how to read the battery. Is there a setting on the system that will read the power left?

Dashetal get battery bar pro it will give you all the info you need about the battery in real time and you should always be on AC when playing any game or high demanding tasks in fact i advise you to only use the battery when you dont have a socket near you and dont worry because the battery will not overcharge and the main purpose of the battery its to aid the adapter to provide enough power when the cpu/gpu are in high performance mode and the adapter cant cope with it the battery will kick in to help keeping the performance and will only start to charge again when it drops to 40% or lower (this will only happen in rare cases) when it happens the adapter cannot do both charge the battery and provide power for the cpu/gpu so the best its to stop what you are doing and let the battery recharge to 100% again and another advice is the more usb devices you have connected the more power it will drain making the battery kick in to help hole this explanation helps :)

I also suggest you to follow the links in my signature to optimize windows/undervolt and if still needed after repate it if the temps  are still a bit high everything under 80 its acceptable past 85/90 will start to thermal throttle (depending on the hardware even the hardware same they wont perform the same way)

PS: what is the exact model you have ? (do not post any serial/snid its not allowed neither any pic with it)

Thanks guys. I am getting the new 2019 Predator 300. My PC is about 10 years old so upgrade and portability time for a gaming system. Don't plan to use the battery much if at all but wanted to know if there was a quick way to check its status.
