After completing a recent windows update that took a really long time, I no longer can log on to my computer. The computer will appear to boot fine and get to the log in screen. However, the keyboard, mouse, and touchscreen are not responding so the log in box never pops up. I have tried restarting several times to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Hi!

One of my mate experienced same issue. He was using wireless keyboard & mouse. He got the computer to work by connecting wired keyboard & wired mouse. If you are using wireless keyboard & mouse, I recommend you to connect wired keyboard & mouse to the computer and restart it. Computer should recognize both wired keyboard & mouse. Once you successfully sign in to the computer, check "Windows Updates" and confirm that it is fully done. After that shutdown your computer. Then remove the wired keyboard & mouse. Re-connect back your wireless keyboard & mouse. Reboot computer and it should work. Please post back the result.

The previous answer was half-way correct. I unplugged everything from my computer except for the power cord, and then plugged in a keyboard and mouse. It was still unresponsive at the log-in screen, however. So I restarted the computer and hit F12 to get to the Boot Manager Menu. From there, my computer had the option for Advanced Options. In this category there was an option to uninstall the last updates. I did this and the computer rebooted. It said it was then "reinstalling the last version of Windows." After this, it rebooted again and I was then able to use the mouse and keyboard to log onto the computer. Thanks.
