Hi everyone,

Sorry for the long post ahead - hope someone could help me!

So I got the new Helios 300 laptop (PH315-52-78VL) and it is/was working perfectly so far. But I think I may have messedd some stuff up in my laptop and need assurances that everything is fine (lol). See below the timeline of events:

1) I got the laptop and decided to update everything (including NVIDIA drivers and all but not the BIOS) - and that all happened perfectly and was running smoothly.

2) A couple of days ago I decided to undervolt the laptop further (I understand this laptop already comes undervolted out of the box at -0.125v) using TS. I understand that the XTU settings baked into the BIOS/Intel chipset of this laptop are fine to be left there and I can use the TS settings to further undervolt if needed. So I played around with the settings and was very happy with the undervolt at -0.16v where it stable and working fine in benchmarks and gaming as well with the max temperature of the cpu reaching around 84 degrees while playing (but that also depends on the room temp too I'm sure.

3) Yesterday, I don't know why but I had the smart ***** idea to decide to remove the XTU settings baked into the laptop (I failed see ahead lol). So I first deleted my TS to revert the undervolt to the original one, installed the XTU, changed the undevolt settings to 0, then uninstalled XTU, deleted it from services and everywhere else (such as iosbit in registry and all) and then rebooted into my BIOS to reset them to default (I think that's where I may have 'messed' up. After rebooting I saw that the undervolt at 0, so I set up my TS again and started using that normally. But then I realized that my Predatorsense was not working anymore (the app was showing up in my task manager but was not opening), so I decided to reinstall Predatorsense and rebooted the Laptop and all. After rebooting my predatorsense started working again, but the XTU services and stuff were back in my task manager and services application of windows 10! However, my TS undervolt is still working fine now (at -0.16v) as shown in HWMonitor.

My questions for the above are:

1) With me messing around with XTU and then installing and reinstalling the Predatorsense and defaulting the BIOS - does that mess up the laptop?

2) Should I do a reboot of the windows to factory settings (using Acer care) to ensure nothing has messed up?

3) My fans are almost always on (they never go to 0 RPM - usually stay between 1500 - 2400 RPM while I'm doing general stuff on the laptop - for gaming I use a custom settings for 4500-4500 RPM for both fans). Is that fine or is that an issue due to the undervolting I did?

4) Should I just generally update the Bios (the current version on my laptop is 1.02 and there is a 1.05 update available for my laptop in the Acer drivers page)?

5) (This is for someone who can help me with TS and undervolting) I think I know the answer, but is it possible to undervolt using TS while my XTU baked in laptop settings are still in place (without even having the XTU application)? I think the answer to this question is probably yes considering my laptop is undervolted further using TS.

6) Could anyone look at my TS settings and see if they are fine? (this one I understand is a longshot) - Undervolt at -0.16v with the EPP at 32 and the TPL settings at 45 for long (with clamping ticked) and 65 for short (with clamping unticked). Is that fine for TDP? Also I've clicked the Disable and Lock Turbo Power Limits in FIVR in TS as well. this is all while plugged in and not using battery life.

Sorry for this long wall of text but really need some peace of mind on this.
Thanks!

The undervolt values pre applied are the stable ones you should had sticked with stock values you can tweak them more if course but always at ur own risk if u don't have issues and temps are good I wouldn't worry too much about it

Hello, thanks for the response. So I could tweak them with TS without having to uninstall the XTU baked in settings yeah? (if I just give an auto start delay to TS allowing system undervolt to go first). Also could you please help me on question 2, 3, 4 and 5 of my original post if possible? Thanks.

Hello @laldupata, did you undervolt both the Core and the Cache voltage to -0.16? Or just the Core voltage?
