Huge FPS drops, not sure why, new comp

Hello all!
I should preface this with a few things - I am not the best with computers. I bought the Predator Helios 300 cause it was a top rated WOW computer for its price, as well as tons of pretty good reviews. I  have already spent roughly 3 hours with the Predator support staff (the free 2 year service you get with purchase of a new computer), and am no closer to resolving the issue.

As for my problem - I exclusively play WOW. My FPS will drop substantially at very frequent intervals while I play. This has happened when settings were at high, as well as very low settings. The frequency is tough to gauge but it is probably at least every 2 or so minutes I will have frames shoot down to 20-30 fps. My computer seems super hot, however I don't think its gotten above 96 - 97 or so which I understand is pretty normal for this type of computer.

I am EXTREMELY frustrated at this point, and this is basically my last ditch effort before trying to go through the return process. Sorry if this sounds whiny, its just been a very long week that's been quite disappointing. This is the first gaming computer ive invested in, it wasn't cheap, but so far its been a pretty big letdown.

ANY help is very appreciated as I am completely out of options as to what it could be that's causing these huge drops in FPS.

Thank you all in advance very sincerely.

    Good Morning rzo77 !

Firstly, you should understand that in online games, laptop setup is only part of the question.
Other factors such as connection type, bandwidth, packet routing, dedicated link, server availability, etc ... will have a major final impact.

For your device to perform at its best, you should follow these steps:

1- all drivers and windows must be properly updated
2- the device must be set to use the high performance power plan of Windows
3- the battery must be charged 100% before playing
4- Battery should be set to advanced power options for maximum performance.
5- Game applications must be set in dedicated GPU Dashboard (AMD or Nvida if you have one) to be the main
6- The appliance must be connected directly to a properly grounded power outlet without any power adapter.
