1-1/2 year old laptop with 256SSHD won't startup.  Press power button, keyboard lights come on, HD light comes on, no LCD backlight or video then it shuts down (all lights out) after approx. 7 seconds.

I've reset power thru the pin hole on bottom, re-seated RAM, re-seated SSHD, opened case to remove and reinstall battery and checked all connectors are fully mated.

Removed SSHD and put it in another Acer E5 laptop to verify it is working correctly.

Not sure what to do next.....any ideas?

Thanks,
Bruce.

Correction.....Not SSHD.  I have the internal SATA SSD.

Correction 2....NVMe SSD.  Not that it really matters.

No suggestions at all?  That’s the same response I got when I called the Acer tech support people.....If power reset didn’t fix it, send it in for $400 repair.  Not very helpful.  Surely there is some additional testing to help isolate issue?

As of yesterday I am having the exact same issue with the exact same device. Even had it for about 1 1/2 years as well. Press the power button, keyboard flashes on/off once, a click can be heard, then the keyboard stays lit for around 5-6 seconds before turning off. Every now and then the keyboard will stay lit indefinitely until the device is manually powered off by holding the power button. Orange charging-indication light still works when plugged in, as well as the blue light next to it whenever the keyboard is lit in previously mentioned process.

I also tried resetting power, removing and replacing RAM and SSD, same problem persists. Any support with this issue would be appreciated.
