I purchased an Acer Triton 500 with the i7-8750h and during idle my CPU is low 60C according to the predator sense. It shows currently 62C with a 12% load. This seems very high for really no use.

Shouldnt it still be lower. From every other gaming laptop ive had this is pretty high for an idle temperature. I do plan on upgrading to Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut this week, but wouldnt want to waste the time if there was something wrong with the cooling system already.

What were your temperatures before you had to do all of that. 60C during idle just sounds ridiculous for a brand new laptop.

My i5 would go to 95/99 when gaming and throttling like mad and if you didnt optimized neither undervolted it the temps you have are normal on stock your i7 6 core heats up a lot if not undervolted i advise you to use TS not xtu and you can also undervolt the nvidia if needed with msi afterburner using a curve
