My Predator's display is not coming while turning on the laptop

Display is not coming but keyboard light is glowing. On opening up the laptop the service engineer said that it's motherboard needs to be replaced. Completely based on suspection they said water mark found. They just checked visually and concluded. And now they are telling that natural damage does not cover under warranty. Though my motherboard seems good to me . Please suggest what should I do now?

Sdey_ Waht is your full model disconnect from AC and try a battery power drain by pressing the bottom battery pinhole switch with a paperclip for ex for 30s and let it rest for 2/3h without switching it on after boot it bios F2 (if possible) and reset bios to default settings to see if the issue still persists you can also check the memory compartment and check if the power kill switch its properly pressed when you close/screw it back you can add some layers of tape to make sure its properly pressed you can also try an external display/tv to see if its working might also be the display cable/port or the display itself

Also did the engineer specified to you the exact place in the mobo that had water damage ? with a picture or something

@xapim No exact place was specified. He was talking about replacement of whole Mobo. No thorough checking was done, just checked visually. Is that the procedure Acer follow?

Sdey_ Well the procedure taken by third part contracted companies to provide warranty support its of their own responsibility as far as i know and it depends on each country usually those companies have their own internal policies but you could contact acer support directly and demand an exactly explanation of the water damaged stated by the engineer we are just a user to user community we do not work for acer only the community Admins/Mods are acer staff again im very sorry for the issue youre having but i would keep pushing if i were you and also try the options i mentioned above i would also try to get a full diagnostic report from the engineer signed if possible
