Multiple Attempts to turn C24-865 PC on required

I've got a C24-865 that's about 9 months old. Lately I've been having trouble getting it to boot up.

I press the power button and it lights up, but then nothing else happens. Sometimes it turns on first time OK - but this morning for example it took around 8 attempts of pressing the power button to turn it on, waiting to see if does and then when it doesn't, pressing and holding the power button to turn it off ... repeat until it eventually boots.

Obliviously this isn't normal behaviour and I'm worried that it isn't going to turn on at all!

Suggestions?

Please try to unplug all the cables ( Including power cables )

Post this. Press and hold the power button for 40 sec ( Without power cables ). Once done try and check if the device is working and post the result here.

I tried that and it made no difference ... can't see how it would anyway, it's not a laptop.

Hi, I am sorry to hear it. Try to do BIOS defaults by the following steps.
    RESET BIOS
    *************
1.When the unit is off completely, press the power to turn on the unit.
2.Immediately keep on tapping the  Del key to enter the BIOS.
3.In the BIOS, press F9 to reset the BIOS to setup defaults.
4.At the confirmation screen, press Enter for Yes to load the default configuration.
    5. Press F10 to save your changes, and restart the system. Select Yes and press ENTER to confirm.

Thank you and have a Blessed Day  :3

I have the same problem, it is taking longer and longer to get it to restart.  Tried holding power button for >30s and leaving for minutes or hours but it still did not work.  Then randomly it does restart after doing nothing different to previous failed attempts.  At the last boot up I saved recent files to a flash drive in case I have to lose data during repair.

Mine was still under warranty so sent it back ... turned out to be a faulty main board.

I have it back now and it's working perfectly.

Both of you should be asking a new question in a new thread instead of camping out on this old one. You'll get better and faster answers that way. :)
