Hello from Brazil,
My predator helios 300 went to repair center because it was dead (motherboard went dead in the middle of BFV cutscene). It was like 3 days to get it back fully working (really fast repair), but when it arrived I noticed that some Nvidia apps were installed and none of them was being recognized by windows to be the real controller of the gtx. And I started my journey to make it recognize.
Here's what I did until now:
Tried to update Nvidia drivers (newer drivers ver431 gets "no compatible windows" and "no "no hardware found" / older driver from acer drivers site gets only "no hardware found").
Tried to make it compatible with another version of Windows.
Tried to install with digital signature disabled in windows.
Tried to install in safe mode.
Updated windows from 15xx to 1803 and tried (no luck), then updated to 1903 and still not working.
Reinstalled windows deleting everything (it had nothing in it btw).
Tried to install new copy of Windows and disable internet until drivers were installed.
In device manager it shows that PCI 0 (Wich is the Intel Chipset hd630) is working properly but PCI 1 (that I suppose to be the gtx) is being recognized as "3D driver controller" and get error 28 in the message saying that there is no driver installed.
With this info I searched some solutions for "error 28" and tried everything with no luck.
Tried everything on this forum, from trying to use windows 10 Pro to use "take ownership" of the drivers folder.
My observations: it seems that the gtx is recognized, in msinfo32 I can see that something is not installed. I believe that the bios version 1.22 is making this error, because it wasn't on this version before I send it to repair and all drivers worked fine.
Considering to send it again to repair*
If some of you have any other ideas I would appreciate the help. Thank you in advance.

Reset using Acer Care Centre. If unsuccessful, send it to service centre again.

Doing it right now, but what's the difference doing it normally on windows or clicking in the restore button on acer Care center? It popups the same dialog box of Windows itself.

You never mentioned a reset, that's why I suggested this. I thought you clean installed (reinstalled) new Windows 10.

Oh sorry, it was under the statement "tried everything in this forum". I'll try to edit the post and put windows reset and internal battery reset to be more clear.

I'd suggest to go for a replacement or refund if even these steps didn't help you. Still, try this one once if you haven't done exactly like this before:

Update on the situation: I manage to make it appear in the device manager and now installing the drivers.
So today I only did two things > 1. recovery using acer care center (and didnt solve the problem) > 2. Made a internal battery reset and while pressing it down I discharged all the energy on the components. After that I went to my grandpa's party, so I didn't turn on the laptop for some hours.

So the process was hold the battery reset button and the power button together for some seconds and let it rest for some hours.

I think the gpu got something wrong and it won't let the wrong info away because there were always some energy left in the components.
Now i'll try to install all the drivers updated and use it to see how it goes and will update here.
Thank you man for the help, have a nice day.

    Update:
Every happiness I could feel when I saw the faded "gtx 1060" in the device manager went away when I tried to install the drivers. When I installed intel drivers and others the gtx 1060 simply disappeared. I already opened a case in acer center and will be sending it, but this time I'll tell them to send it with all drivers fully updated and working.
I still think that it has something to do with the latest bios update.

Sad to know that. Can you do the procedure again but this time installing the NVidia driver 1st and then the others?

Sure, I will try to do it again. Can't remember if I tried to install it first, but it won't hurt to try again.
What I remember is that Windows installed a driver version 23.xxxxx for the gtx but it was faded in device manager, and there were only the option to "update driver".
I will clean install Windows and reset the battery, let it rest for a few moments and see if it appears again.

Try this time without connecting to internet. Windows loves to install its own drivers without proper information and messes PCs up.

after the clean install and battery reset, it showed up another device under 'other devices' so I made Windows download the proper driver for that "3d vídeo controller". When it was at the end of install I got a bluescreen saying that the laptop was going to restart.
Before that happen I could see that in the device manager this controller became the GTX 1060 under display adapter (not faded, so it was really installed). But after it rebooted now I can only see it as a hidden device not enabled under display adapters (it still named GTX 1060). Now it wont accept the own driver Windows downloaded or the OEM driver.
ps.: Yeah, I turn off the internet because Windows is really annoying.

I am now at the point where some people get this incompatibility "error cod.45" wich is when the hardware is not connected.

Install the NVidia program from Microsoft Store by clicking on this link (not available in store if you search there).
Also, you might wanna try these steps manually once :https://windowsreport.com/fix-hardware-device-not-connected-error-45/
Don't use the software that they recommend in Solution 3.

    Or try this:

Graphics device driver error code 43

Windows stopped your device because it reported problems. To fix it, try the following:

    1. Select the Start button, then in the search box next to Start, type device manager and select Device Manager from the list of results.
    2. Find the problematic device in the list (it will often have a yellow exclamation point icon next to it).
    3. Press and hold (or right-click) the name of the device, and select Properties. In Properties, select the Driver tab, select Roll Back Driver, then follow the steps. If the button is unavailable, that means there's no driver to roll back to.
    4. Select Uninstall device and then select Uninstall.
    5. At the top of the list of devices in Device Manager, press and hold (or right-click) the name of your PC, then select Scan for hardware changes. This re-installs the device driver.
    6. To see if this fixed the problem, press and hold (or right-click) the name of the device again and select Properties. On the General tab, under Device status, you should see This device is working properly. If you don’t see this message, refer to the documentation that came with the device or contact the manufacturer.
