I am looking to buy a monitor and I realised even thought the gpu is capable, I wont be able to use a g-sync monitor at high frame rates because I only have a HDMI port and no DP. Due to this I had to change my options. Can I get a recommendation for the maximum resolution and refresh rate supported monitor for the below mentioned model?

Model: ACER Predator Helios 300 317-52-79Y7
i7 8750H, 16 GB RAM, 1060 6GB

To save some searches, it only has HDMI output. No DP.

    Good afternoon!

I also suspect that the processor support will limit the resolution:

    Good Morning sriram27 !

The HDMi port of this model uses version 2.0, which me theory can load a resolution of 3840x2160 (4k) at up to 60 fps.

Thank you MaClane. I have a doubt though. My graphic card being 1060 nvidia support 2.0. But the i8750H supports only upto HDMI 1.4. So I am guessing I am limited at 1.4.
