laptop type c port not responding.?(aspire A515-51G

my aspire A515-51G model laptop(i5 8th gen) has an type c port.It doesn't responding while i connect it with type c aux converter to use a headphone.? Is there any way to work the headphone by installing any driver or any other.?

    Yes, but most will not work. Most of the adapters are designed for phones with the “audio alternate” protocol. Only certain phones have this. For laptops you need to make sure the adapter has its own DAC and processing circuity built into it.

    But here are steps to help fix the issue:

    1. Plug your headphones in.
    2. At the bottom right side of your desktop taskbar, right click the volume icon and select Playback devices.
    3. Check the default device and if it detects the headphones you plugged in.
    4. If it does not detect your headphones, you will need to update your BIOS.
