I just received it brand new today and updated everything. It works fine until I take out the AC adapter in which the laptop dies instantly.

I've tried reinstalling the battery driers and doing a soft reset on the battery software... any suggestions? I would hate to have to return it to Acer and potentially wait up to a month before I receive it back...

hijsc That might mean that either the battery is faulty or its not connected properly send it back asap either though the shop you got it for a replace or if they refuse it to acer support in these cases out of the box you have to demand the seller a replacement and they have to comply its the law the other option is for you to open it yourself and check the connections but of course you would void your warranty if you break any seals that it might have or damage anything inside disassembling it i wouldnt do it i would take the first option asap
