Hi all,
I bought this Predator Helios 500 Gaming Laptop PH 517-51 on 20 May 2019. On 21 Jun 2019 morning, the laptop suddenly blacked out with no response to battery reset or whatever. I called in local repair shop, and was told there was a short in the mainboard. I shipped the device to the repair centre in the UK on 27 Jun 2019, and they said it required parts to be ordered to complete the repair. I enquired the repair process on 4 Jul 2019. The first mainboard arrived was DOA, and they said they had reordered a mainboard. On 12 Jul 2019, the second mainboard still isn't delivered, and it has been two weeks since I shipped my device!
Now I have to sit awaiting over the weekend. I don't know when the mainboard will arrive, I don't know when the repair will complete and my laptop shipped back to me.
The repair case is taking so much longer than I can bear. And first of all, I can't believe a gaming laptop that I spent over £1800 will have such severe damage after only 30 days of purchase!

I can't trust Acer products ANY MORE! Please don't buy Acer products or trust their '7 to 10 days' repair time, unless you like to waste your money and time

logannii im am sorry about any issues you are having but unfortunately no one here would be able to help you with your issue because this community is not a direct channel to acer support and its mainly ran by normal users like you and me we are just voluntaries here to help other in what we can the best way we can we do not work for acer i suggest you to keep trying to get in touch withthe acer support to get your issue solved asap and good luck :) all i can say is i have been with acer since 2009/2010 never had any issues and all my 4 laptops still work fine till today i understand there might be faulty units after all its massive production and it happens in any kind of industry (especially the electronic devices) i dunno on which shop/seller you had bought it but usually you have a 30 day return policy in the UK with the seller/shop if the unit its faulty or you are not happy with it not sure if you had contacted who you bought it from or just went straight to Acer support if this was the case you should had contacted always the seller first (also depends on their own internal policies usually its all in those really small letters that no one ever reads) but again i wish you the best of luck
