I have noticed this continues to use battery when not plugged in. I was wondering if there was a fix for this?

Hi, kindly try the below steps and check.
    1)Unplug the AC power adapter.
2)Press and hold the Power button down until the unit goes off.
3)Search for a pinhole on the backside of your laptop, insert a small paperclip in the battery reset pinhole, press and hold it down for 25 seconds. Then release the paperclip and try to turn on the unit and check.

Thank you for your quick reply. I have done this and it worked while the computer was powered off. However, upon powering on again and shutting down the problem is still happening. I also notice upon powering up after doing what you suggested, that there was an 80's arcade sound that happened? I am unsure what may have caused this, as all my settings are for no sounds.
