I recently bought my new Acer predator helios and it's average temp while gaming is 40-50, hope its normal, but while playing a low graphics game AC3 in high settings I experienced that it's average temp while playing without charging was around 50-75
But while charging it goes to 60-85 , is it normal for that low graphics game , what would be the temp when I will play the games like Witcher 3 also after 2 hrs of gaming the game got freezed and got closed by itself I was like wtf happened , then I checked the temp it was 78 , so I want to know is there any problem with my laptop or this is totally fine .

Dheeraj29 thats is normal because youre on battery and automatically on low performance mode one of the advice's i have for you is that you shouldnt play any games at all on battery only on A/C and always with the battery 100% charged to take advantage of the full performance of the cpu/gpu you will only get half or even less of the performance if you play on battery and it will also in the long term damage you battery life faster because the batteries have a limited number of charging cycles works similar to the ssds reading/writing every time you recharge it you will loose one cycle but as i said this all in the long term not short

Dheeraj29 i dunno in what windows version you are in (the older 1703 used to be the best one followed by 1809  and 1803 the worst but the new one still getting tested by everyone so i cant say for sure) now but optimize it/undervolt and if still needed repaste dont update the windows version if you dont need to theres no way to know if it would become even worse or not:) but again its just my advice and my point of view

If u are not getting any problem with your present version of window than it's better to stay on it but remember do not install window update for about 30 days as they are getting worse, so turn off the windows update this is all my suggestion other is up to u .

1803 its the worst of the windows versions you have 2 options either go back to 1703 (dunno whats the stock windows version you have on acer recovery) or upgrade to 1809 the new 1903 its still too buggy im on 1809 since it came out never updated anything again and never had any issue still using 2017 stock drivers
