acer eb192qb monitor won't connect to windows 10

We got a new monitor , and it shows "input not supported" while loading windows. It boots fine then gives an error. Please help.

    Try booting Windows in safe mode, that will put the resolution low enough that it should come up and remain visible.

    On a similar vein, Interest Explorer is refusing to open on my laptop.  It gets as far as the outline of the browser screen and then just disappears. Thoought re-installing the programme would solve the problem but it hasn't.

    I added an additional male to female cable ...and it worked. 😁😁😄
