Predator 17 Keyboard replacement?

Hello,

My windows key is busted up on my Predator 17 laptop.
Not just the key itself i am talking about the rubber piece under the key which is ripped off and now it continuously presses my windows key. I believe replacing the keyboard is the only fix as online purchasing of the key is all i see. I could not find anything about the rubber piece connected to the keyboard physically.

Any links or suggestions on where i could purchase a predator 17 keyboard? and most importantly a video of how to replace the keyboard?? I work in IT but this laptop seems like a huge piece to simply replace its keyboard without seeing a video first.

Thanks,

WessenS

Google your 'full model number' and 'keyboard' for replacement vendors/sellers most convenient to you. For example, the ph517-51 keyboard usually comes as the top assembly with palmrest and separates from the bottom cover by removing the bottom screws and detaching the ribbon cables from the mainboard. Price ~$120 USD. Alternatively, I would probably see if a piece of sticky-backed foam rubber weatherstrip tape could substitute for the missing WINkey rubber piece. Jack E/NJ
