How to turn off hyperthreading and virtualization?

I have a acer predator helios 300 PH317-52, and when gaming the temperatures get quite hot to the touch and when i check my cpu temps in games my cpu is running at high 70s to 80 degrees. I heard turning off hyperthreading increases performance in games and lowers the cpu temp off a bit, I don't do any productivity work at all, I only use my laptop exclusively for games and browsing chrome and a couple of social application. So I've been trying to get into the bios to disable hyperthreading and virtualization yet even when holding down F2 or Del I can't seem to get into the bios menu.
Also I'm running Bios version V1.24, is there any point in upgrading the bios further since everything works fine and I don't want to mess anything up.

GodHelios well i guess you heard wrong the temsp you have are pretty good in fact and its normal to heat a lot in the keyboard because the cpu/gpu are just under it  so theres nothing wrong with you beast its running just fine to acess your bios you have to keep pressing F2 as soon as you power up but as i said disabling VT wont do anything regarding temps and yours are great and if you dont have issues dont upgrade the bios leave it as it is im still on 1.20 myself

Idk about how running at constant 85 degrees is normal, i know gaming laptop generally run hot but do they really run that hot. I've been pressing F2 like crazy and trying all kinds of variations but still can't access the bios for some reason, does anyone know if the bios is locked?

GodHelios 85 its acceptable more than 85 (above 90 will start to thermal throttle) i would start to think in repasting with a good thermal paste like Kryonaut or similar also did you already optimized windows and undervolted if not follow the links in my signature to find out how :)

I'll take a look at your videos. Though I don't feel like opening up my laptop to repaste, kinda scared about that lol though my OS is pretty optimized already, everything set to performance.

The videos are not mine :p all credits to @Red-Sand and no your OS its not optimized by default if you didnt manually optimized it win 10 has loads of useless services running on background that need to be disabled and repasting its dead easy this if you dont ave any warranty seal that prevent you to open it if you have just contact acer support in you region for a repaste in some countries the techs even go to your home and will even use the paste you provide also undervolting will drop your temps keeping the same performance

Hyper-threading (officially called Hyper-Threading Technology or HT Technology, and abbreviated as HTT or HT) is Intel's proprietary simultaneous multithreading (SMT) implementation used to improve parallelization of computations (doing multiple tasks at once) performed on x86 microprocessors.
    - disabling this would NOT increase performance of games - unless they were old ones that don't really utilize the performance of parallel programming.

I would rather suggest turning off turbo to reduce heat.
