Acer Predator Triton 700 heat management question

Hello everyone, I'm a proud owner of APT700, it's an incredible machine and I'm over the moon for owning it. My question would be related to heat management, I noticed that laptop does get warm during load, nothing to be surprised about, however the temps according to Predator Sense can go up to 85º ish on the CPU with fan profile set on auto, GPU is usually cooler, is that something to be worried about for this machine? I had 0 signs of throttle so far, all games tested ran smooth as butter even with those temps, I can always set fan profile to max and it shaves off a few Cº but I'm worried that it will affect the longevity of the fans.

Having a near 2 year warranty, I'm a bit reluctant on trying a re-paste in case the factory used paste is not good enough, do you think it's some to consider for this situation?

Thank you for the feedback

krym23 85 max its ok for high demanding games/tasks more than that it would start to thermal throttling and i would get worried and probably repaste it have you already optimized windows/undervolted if not you may want to do so follow the links in my signature it will help to drop your temps by keeping the same performance and use less power/less heat also if you are able to yourself without voiding the warranty (if you dont have any seals that you might have to break to disassemble it in some cases/countries Acer engineers would even use the thermal paste you would buy to repaste it if a case of you getting some more info ion that) you could repaste it with kryonaut or similar got 25+ down after all those 3 steps hope this helps :)

PS: im guessing you are in the US right because as far as i know its the only country where you have 2 years warranty all other countries its only 1 year ITW if so u shouldnt have any seals its not allowed in the US for any manufacturer of any device whatsoever to put any warranty seals anywhere so i would say you are probably ok to repaste it yourself

Hello Xapim, thank you very much for your prompt reply and explanation. I'm from Portugal and the warranty information I have listed on the purchase note is 2 years, I'm not sure what you mean with "ITW", sorry. After making this post, I found the FAQ post talking about temp management and found this very useful video that shows how to undervolt the 7700HQ, I have it currently at -125.0 and it's stable so far, might try to lower it a bit more this evening when I get home and from this undervolt I noticed temp drops of 4-5ºc which make the CPU hover around 80ºc under load, happy days. I guess I won't have to worry about re-pasting for the moment. Cheers

krym23 the Acer warranty everywhere (EU included) its 1 year only ITW (international travelers warranty) (except US/CA carry in 2 years) check acer website for warranty information the 2 years you have listed its provided by the shop where you bought it not Acer themselves directly all shops/sellers have their own internal warranty policies nothing to do with acer and im glad you got it sorted im from PT also :xd i bought 3 years extended warranty from Acer this means 2 extra years to add to my already 1 year ITW because what you already have will be deducted from what youre purchasing
