My dad asked me to help him upgrade his 5745G (i3-380M, GT310M, 2GB, 500GB HDD). Then, i bought an i5-450M, two DDR3-1600 4GB sticks and a SSD

When the upgrade has done, i turned it on. Everything is ok but after 10 seconds, it suddenly turned off. I put the 380M back and it run normally.

After that, i tried to install Windows 10 64bit on the new SSD but there is no way. I cant boot into any Windows setup (i have tried every single Windows version, from 7 to 10, both 32 and 64bit), just about 5-10s after booting into the setup, it suddenly turn off. So, i put the SSD in my laptop, install Windows 10 and put it back to the 5745G. Blue screen with the error code "Kernel Security Code Failure" appear.

I removed the ram and replace with couple of DDR3-1333 2GB and it run like a champ

The first strange here is that why it cant boot into Windows setup. Second, why it can run normally with 2x4GB of ram in Windows 7 32bit on my dad's old HDD (2.3GB usable), but only can run with 2x2GB in new SSD with Windows 10 64bit. My old 4820TG can run 2x4GB 1600MHz on Windows 10 64bit without any problem, it also has a 380M. The problem with the 450M is also very strange.

Any idea for my problem? Thank you very much

    Good evening Giathyex !

    Firstly, what EXACT model?
    Example: AS5745G-5844

As for not supporting the GPU, has it verified that the PSU is able to withstand the new energy demand?

To install Windows, the ISO must be x64 bits, the SecureBoot must be disabled in Bios, the mode set to UEFi, the SSD converted to GPT.

I'd probably try to do one upgrade (or downgrade in the case of Win10  :) ) at a time. Too many variables trying to do it all at the same time. Jack E/NJ

    It's a 5745G-382G50MNKS. I used a 90W power suply

This 5745G can only use Legacy standard, which means it doesnt have Secure Boot or UEFI option in BIOS. Of course the SSD is formatted in MBR for Legacy (just like my 4820TG)

Ok. Then try to install Win10 on the old HDD with 8GB first. You can't install Win10 on the SSD in another machine then try to boot it from the 5745G. After Win10's installed on the old HDD, then clone the HDD onto the SSD. Jack E/NJ
