Hi everyone,
I never had a gamer laptop before and I bought mine around 6 months ago. It's a Predator G3-572 with Intel Core i7-7700HQ @ 2.80GHz with 16 GB Ram and Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060, with and it never had a good performance on games that I thought it would be good (e.g. The Witcher 3, Overwatch, CS Go, Payday 2, etc) with FPS around 15~20. This month my wife bought a Nitro 5 and her performance on the same games is around 30~60 fps while playing State of Decay 2 and mine stays at 5~15 fps max.

I already went to Nvidia Pannel and to the PhysX and changed the set up to choose Nvidia GeForce. But I'm still experiencing this. Also, my disk usage is always around 100% even when I'm not using anything.

I though this was supposed to be one of the best laptops ever, but I'm sad with it.

Someone can help me?

    Good night KillerOfDrakons !

    Firstly, the error of 100% disk usage in absolutely nothing has to do with Acer.
    This error causes crashes, loss of performance, and is Microsoft's own, in versions 8, 81 and 10 of Windows.

    There are dozens of methods to work around this error.
    I suggest a quick Google search.
    A good attempt is to upgrade to the 1903 release and upgrade your video drivers (both from Nvidia and Intel HD Graphics).

    To improve your gaming performance, also follow these procedures:
    1- Wait for the battery to charge to 100% before playing;
    2- only play with the connected device in the power outlet and using the high-performance plan of Windows;
    3-7 all games and use recommended settings on the Nvidia Dashboard

    KillerOfDrakons my G3-572 never had any issues after i optimized windows/undervolted/repasted (kryonaut) neither ever felt the need to update windows again still on 1809 when it first came out (updates disabled permanently via regedit) in fact i still have all acer stock drivers apart from nvidia i had to force update to due to the BFV and some other games would not support the old drivers anymore but just updated to the required one at the time never updated gpu drivers again my intel driver still from 2017 also have to mention that i have upgraded the ram from 8gb to 32gb hyperx 2666, a 2tb wdblue 3d nand m.2 (not cheap though) and upgraded the windows virtual memory to 10gb after all this done in the 2nd week i got it never had a single crash whatsoever neither freeze it has been 18 months now always on AC 24/7 and i can play all games (including latest) on ultra and my max temps are 70/75 gpu 75/80 cpu.

    So all this said i would suggest you to backup everything you might need and restore the OS to Acer factory  ALT+F10 on boot (do not keep your files fresh install) and see if your issues are solved also watch out for windows updates they will screw and mess up everything only update whatever you feel you need to i would suggest to disable them permanently and only update what you need manually also if you have high temps you are thermal throttling you need to optimize windows and undervolt and if still needed repaste
