Hi everybody,

I'm having the same battery issue as a lot of you, except I haven't unscrewed the back of the laptop at all. It was working fine before but now it's suddenly not charging and the battery is stuck at 0%. It doesn't retain the charge at all, because when I pull it out the laptop dies. I tried a battery reset by unplugging it etc as per the instructions online but that hasn't helped either. I also tried re-installing the drivers to no avail. Could someone please help?

Try to default the settings on the device.
    1) Go to bios using f2 key and press it multiple times after turning on the device.
    2) press f9 and click yes then click f10 to save and exit.
    3) After this step try battery reset and check it works.

Hi, For the battery problem try to do battery reset. Follow the steps below:
    1) Unplug power cable from device.
    2) Close the lid if open then flip it upside down.
    3) Find small symbol for battery and next to it there should be a small pin hole.
    4) Use a paperclip or something smaller to press and hold for 10-15 seconds.
    5) Then turn on the device and test the battery.

If that doesn't fix the issue either then try to uninstall and reinstall the battery driver.
    1) Go to device manager
    2) Find Batteries column and click the small arrow to open it up.
    3) Right click on the driver and uninstall device and click uninstall.
    4) Restart the device and check if it worked.

If you are satisfied with my solution please accept the answer. Thank You.

If any of the above works check your windows battery report to see if you might have a faulty battery or not

I tried the above but it recharged for about a couple of seconds and then stopped. I did a battery report too @xapim but I'm not sure what I'm looking for as the previous solutions didn't quite work. Any other advice? (My device is G3-571, 1060 GTX)
