Can I disable the onboard Intel graphics and only use the GeForce card on my Nitro 5 515-53?
And if so how would I go about doing that?

    Good night PoppaJim !

Your dedicated GPU is just the video rendering hardware.
The integrated GPU is responsible for the bridge between the system and the dedicated one.
There are methods for this, however your system will be overloaded, errors in rendering and interpretation may occur and even loss of functions.
The architecture of a laptop is different from desktop.
The system is prepared to manage which GPU to use.
What you can do is set in the Nvidia Control Panel which software should be "forced" to run on GeForce.
But this only with the device using the high performance power plan and plugged into the power outlet.
