I've got an Acer XR382XQK hooked to a MacBook Pro 13" 2017 (High Sierra) via USB-C.  I'm trying to drive a 2nd monitor (AOC 27" 1080P) via the DP-OUT.  When I plug the 2nd monitor in, the Acer flashes on about every 5 seconds for a moment and the 2nd monitor never displays anything.  I'm using the USB-C shipped with the monitor, but I am currently using a DP cable that I already had.  Are there monitor and/or mac settings that I need to modify to get this arrangement to work?  Below are some of my monitor settings.  Thanks!

Picture
  ACM - OFF
  HDR - OFF
  Super Contrast - OFF

System
  Input - DP-ALT
Auto Source - OFF (grey'd out)
Daisy Chain - CLONE (grey'd out)
  DP Format - DP 1.2
  Wide Mode - Full
  PIP/PBP - OFF
  DDC/CI - OFF
USB 3.0 - ON (I've tried with this OFF and ON)

I have an open case with support, but they were unable to assist and said this configuration is outside of what they can support.  CASE #: CAUS1944635

Thanks,
Brett
