Hi Everyone

I have had this Aspire R7-571_0814_V2.04 for over 5 years now.
I use alot of Architectural software and it is running so slow.
Is it possible to upgrade it at all ? if it is, what is compatible.
I have never upgraded it, so everything is as it came.
I would like to upgrade the CPU , RAM, HDD maybe to a 500GB SSD. and wireless, if possible the upgrade graphics as well, but was told its on board so maybe its not possible.
Can someone please help me find out what parts to buy?
I have already opened it up, and cleaned the insides, so I know how to change the parts, Just dont understand what would be compatible.
Can I get a SSD? and if so what would be the appropriate model?
Can i upgrade to a i7?
I work from home so this computer is my livelihood right now. It would be great if you could help.
thank you very much

Tara

By far, the biggest and fastest bang for the buck will come from swapping out the 2.5" HDD for a 2.5" SSD, just about any flavor (Kingston, Samsung, Crucial, aDATA etc) and capacity you can afford. They're commodity items now with 1-2 TB SSD very reasonably priced. You can add up to an 8GB DDR3 laptop memory module 1600MHz speed or higher for a total of 12GB RAM. The CPU is soldered to the mainboard so it is not upgradeable. Hi. Thanks for the great info. This computer has a space for an extra fan and graphic card but nothing is attached at the moment.
Do you think it's possible to increase the graphics as well please?

Sorry no. A discrete laptop graphics adapter would in the form of a chip that's soldered to the mainboard, not in the form of a card plugged into a mainboard socket like a desktop.
