Okay so for the past month or so I have been gaming on my Predator on 60Hz running Fortnite. I am looking to connect my laptop to a 240 hz monitor and was wondering if that was even possible with this setup. I saw info on this from the forums back in early 2018 and am wondering if there is an updated list to what 240hz monitor are compatible, if any. I am also open to recommendations on which 4k Monitor to purchase. My goal is to be able to run 240fps stable on a external monitor and was curious if I could stream on it as well. Let me know

My PC Specs:

Acer Predator G3-571 x64 based PC Intel core i7-7700 @2.80GHZ 4 Cores , 8 Logical Processors
16 GB RAM
GeForce GTX 1060

I don't think you will be able to get above 60hz because the GTX 1060 graphics card user manual says it will go up to 60hz over HDMI: https://www.nvidia.com/content/geforce-gtx/GTX_1060_User_Guide.pdf

Actually I'm trying to get even up to 60hz with the exact same system. How were you able to do that? Did you just use an HDMI cable to a 60hz monitor? For some reason when I do the same thing, I'm only getting 30hz...

Huntery if you had a DP port you would probably be able to but through hdmi i really have my doubts unless the port itself supports it and the input of the display also theres only a way to find out its to get a display and test it and see what windows display options would you get

Were you able to find a 240 hz monitor for the G3-571?
