Hi everyone. I have an Acer Nitro AN515-42. The system has an SSD drive C and a HDD drive D. System was working great until…the last time when I tried to shut down the system it seems one of the programs (Adobe Illustrator-AI) did not close well. Note that I did not do a forced shutdown. When I restated the computer at a later time AI proceeded to recover previous files. After this time the computer seems to be sluggish and slow. I shutdown the computer to restart hoping it needs to refresh. Upon restart the system started to ‘scan and repair drive d’. I let the program do it’s thing, but the computer has not recovered since. Even after the scan and repair fix, at least twice, the system wants to ‘scan and repair drive d’ again. I looked at some YouTube videos and some suggested to go into Windows repair to get it to not scan drive d on startup.
Unfortunately I am not even able to get to the Windows Repair Screen, after doing the 3 Forced Shutdowns. So now every time I start the computer I get the Acer Screen with the spinning dots that goes on for a long time. Or if I do a Forced Shutdown, I get Automatic Repair that goes nowhere?
Side note: Prior to this event, there was a Windows update for AMD which was installed.
Appreciate it if any gurus out there can send some wise advise. Thank you in advance for reading this.

    Hi @Paultan88
Since you have already tried doing a system refresh on the unit, there might be some issue with the OS. Try doing a complete reset if still that is not working.
Os might get corrupted, you can try using recovery media.
Hit Accept if its useful :)
