Hello guys, I am facing problem installing ubuntu in my new Acer predator helios 300 laptop (core i7, ram: 16, rom: 256 SSD). When I try to install Ubuntu from flash drive, it says, "you need at least 8.6GB space to install Ubuntu, you have 8 GB." I tried making 120 GB partition from 256 SSD hard drive, but I could not read unallocated partition that I deleted earlier. I wanted to remove windows 10 and install Ubuntu 19.04. Maybe something is controlling my entire hard drive, so I do not have write access to it. Here's what I have already tried reading forums. I'm really disappointed with this laptop, wasting a lot of time but no solution.

1. pre-shrink Windows partition to desired unallocated space (ubuntu couldn't read that partition while installation)
2. enable/disable secure boot(BOOT)
3.
BIOS supervisor password(SECURITY)
4.
enable F12 Windows boot mgr (MAIN)

Somebody from Acer community, please help me resolve hard drive access issue while installing Linux.

You should probably rearrange and combine your unallocated spaces with a freeware partition manager like Minitool Partition wizard as I believe these are confusing the Ubuntu installation on the space available. The unallocated space should probably be all at the end of the disk for the Linux system files and its swap partition. You should also seriously consider keeping your Windows & Recovery partitions for now in dual boot mode because once they're gone it's difficult to get them back if the need arises. Furthermore, most Linux installations usually go pretty smoothly in dual boot mode. Follow these instructions once your partitions have been rearranged. https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/comment/598047/#Comment_598047

If you can still boot into Windows, press WIN+R. Enter 'diskmgmt.msc'. Post a screenshot of the result here. Jack E/NJ

Here is the screenshot of disk. I want to replace windows 10 by ubuntu. Please note that I can allocate that 120 GB anytime.
