    Try pressing Fn + F7
If still doesn't work, try navigating to Settings > Devices > Touchpad and check if Touchpad is on or off.

First describe the how the problem started, was it after installing a driver or it suddenly stopped working? It's important to the solution

Try Searching: Device Manager > Mice and other pointing devices.
So, Is your touchpad drivers disabled?
If it is, Enable it by clicking this icon:
If it's not, try removing your external mouse and check the HID-compiliant mouse. It has 2, right? Make sure one disappears, If it disappears just one, I would recommended to install the drivers from Acer.
To send you the link, What's your Laptop model first?

Unfortunately, I found the exact model of your Laptop but Touchpad driver isn't listed from the Product support > Drivers and Manuals > Tried Latest and All but nope, try finding it with your exact model
OOF, my model is E5-575G that's why but I don't think the Touchpad driver shown with your exact laptop model so I don't think you should try it: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/7333?b=1
NOTE: E5-575G and E5-576G is not the same model but, Drivers may be incompatible if you have the 575G with 576G's drivers.
