My current acer laptop was manufactured  August 2013.  I cannot find what I want.  I just want the current version of my present laptop which is still working,  I have changed the HD to SSD, bought a new battery, cleaned under some keys that were sticking.  It's  only problem is it is hot and then the fan comes on constantly.  So my current laptop  which is Acer Aspire M is 15.6, 720p, backlit keyboard, touchscreen.   I want a 8th generation I5 with a 1080 glossy screen.  I have looked at other manufactureres and they have problems.  I bought a HP Pavilon and there was such a big gap under the keys that the backlight was blinding.  This acer only has small gaps under the keys.   Acer has no where on this website where you can tell them what you want a laptop to have.

    Good night vberger99 !

Acer develops laptops for all segments and models can vary specifications according to country and region.
Acer does not provide altered versions of the assembly.
I suggest you search on several sites.
Exsietm models like A315-53-C5X2 and A515-51G-C97B

    Hi vberger99,
If your machine is running hot, your cooling fan is probably clogged with lint. Remove the bottom of the machine, take a pencil and carefully put it inside the fans area to keep it from turning. Then use a compressor or leaf blower to blow all the lint out of the fan's chamber and blades. (I don't want the fan spinning at high speed because of the compressor). Once cleaned out, the temperature problem should disappear. Don't remove the fan assembly unless you have thermal grease to replace what you fracture.
