I just bought a brand new Nitro 5. When i game (most of the time graphic intense games) i noticed that at times the battery would drain even when i plugged in the laptop to the AC the whole time. What happens ?

    Good Morning lionitro5 !

    There is absolutely nothing wrong.
In high performance appliances and gamers, when high consumption is required, some of the anergy is used by the battery to calibrate internal voltages and aperangents.
In some cases it can dimiuir up to 60-40% percentages.

I advise you to always let the battery charge at 100% before playing, use only the battery at least once during the week and perform a calibration every 30 days.

Please try the below steps and check if it resolves the issue.

1.Unplug the AC adapter from your notebook.
2.Turn the notebook and look for battery reset pin hole.
3.insert the paper clip and hold it for 30 - 40 seconds.
4.Turn over the notebook one last time and plug in your AC adapter.
    5.Turn on your notebook.

If the issue still persist. then try the below steps

Perform BIOS defaults. During power up keep pressing F2 to access BIOS. Now press F9 and hit enter to set the bios to defaults and then hit f10 and hit enter to save the settings and restart the device.
