I'm trying to find the maximum 2.5" hard drive thickness that can be used with E443 laptop. The installed drive is 7mm, but I'm wondering if 9.5mm drive would fit also. The reason for the question is that I don't yet have access to the laptop with the failed drive, but I need to acquire a new disk for it for a later install and already have a few 9.5mm drives lying around. Thanks for any insights on this!

Probably not. You might be able to plug it into the slot and get it to work but the bottom cover will likely be an issue. Duct tape will probably work. New 7mm SSDs would fit perfect, are much faster, and super cheap nowadays.  Jack E/NJ
