My new Chromebook Tab 10 is going great, except that I can't use its USB-C socket for anything except charging. I can't read external USB sticks with it, or separately powered external HDs. I've tried using a variety of USB-C cables and connectors, none of which seem to work. Does anyone have any advice or tips?

    Hi @pstjmack
chrome book has some compatibility issues according to the models. try connecting with differnt USB.
Also try doing a POWER WASH on the unit, follow the below steps to do:
    1. Sign out of your Chromebook.
    2. Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift + r.
    3. Select Restart.
    4. In the box that appears, select Powerwash Continue.
    5. Follow the steps that appear and sign in with your Google Account. ...
    6. Once you've reset your Chromebook:

Hit Accept if its useful :)

Seems like I either just didn't push the connector in far enough, or should have flipped the USB-C plug the other way. Either way, it's working now. Thanks all!
