Occasionally when I turn my monitor off, or plug another device into the HDMI port, it causes the DisplayPort to stop working. Normally unplugging the monitor from power for anywhere from 1 minute - 24 hours will cause the DP to start displaying again. This is a really annoying solution to the problem and I'm sick of doing this. Why does this happen??? What can I do to prevent it? Is it a driver issue, a bios issue, a monitor settings issue? I have tried using the DP cable that came with the monitor and another cable I bought on Amazon when I started trying to troubleshoot this nonsense.
This is a freesync monitor, but I am using an NVIDIA card, could that be the issue?
