Sorry, I did go off with very little info - I have an Acer E500 running at 36.2M with Windows XP. The following are sound devices I found in system info.
Name Realtek High Definition Audio
Name Unimodem Half-Duplex Audio Device

What have you attempted to do with regard to resolving the 'no sound' issue?
Have you checked the sound icon in the systray? Is anything muted?
Have you checked the Sound applet in Control Panel to ensure it's using the correct sound card?

Futile attempts at solving this problem have included what I think is all of it! From Device Managers saying the product is working, checking wiring, nothing is muted, new drivers, probably heaps more.... still on the blink
I now have a HP Pavilion p6 Series but I''m still gonna get the audio mobile on the Acer. It''s begging to be solved.
Thanks for your help

To eliminate software issues, I would reload the system back to factory defaults.

Do you have speakers plugged in? Typically the computers just beep without them. (Havent seen you mention any, only devices detected)
If speakers are plugged in, they may be the culprit. Try another set, or some earphones as a test.0 -
