Acer Aspire E15 575 inexplicably slow?

Hello, I have an Acer Aspire E-15 575 that I had purchased new from Amazon a couple of years ago and have used the laptop very little over the course of the two years I've had it. However the laptop is for some reason extremely slow. Assuming it was the laptop's startup, I usually let the laptop sit for at least ten minutes and make sure the battery is fully charged. Even then however, something as simple as, for example, file explorer, will freeze the entire laptop upon attempting to close the window. Any applications such as steam will take more than ten minutes to open and as soon as I click anything within the application, the laptop freezes or loads for another ten minutes or so. I have cleaned the hard drive multiple times, have checked for viruses using anti virus software and everything is fine. I really do not know why it is this slow, any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Good night PoisonedSprite !

What exact model of your laptop?
    Are your drivers updated?
What is the release version of your Windows?
Does the problem occur on the battery or plugged into the power outlet as well?
Have you checked the Task Manager if the disk is 100% unused?

The model of my laptop is the Acer Aspire e15 575 33BM. Windows updates and some small driver updates have for some reason failed to update since November of 2018, which are now being installed. The problem occurs no matter if the laptop is plugged in or not or whether the battery is charged or low. On task manager 100% of disk is being used, mostly by windows system processes. Thank you for the response.

What version of your Windows, 1803 and 1809?
    Update all your drivers first.
How much disk usage is 100% that is usually the point that causes slowness.
To troubleshoot, see the video options below a Microsoft specialist.
Even if you are in Portuguese, you only have to activate the slegendas.

Upon trying to follow a guide to fix the 100% disk usage, Microsoft Windows itself had stopped responding while nothing but google chrome with one tab was open.

Procedures should be tried one by one with tests followed.
You should not hold everyone, but one at a time.
At each procedure you restart the machine and verify that the 100% disk usage error has been corrected.
