Error 'The version of ROM file is not newer than that of BIOS' while upgrading BIOS(Aspire A615-51G)

I bought an Acer Aspire A615-51G marvel edition. Enquired to one of the reps from the support team as "why the laptop takes too much time to boot and reboot for an i5 8th gen processor machine?".
The rep advised me to update the BIOS version one by one, from the current version to the latest version available on the Acer portal. The current BIOS version of my laptop is V1.15 and tried updating the next version V1.17. It popped up with an error stating as mentioned,'The version of ROM file is not newer than that of BIOS'. Can anyone tell me what might be the issue?

Good morning Hrdpk !
First, what exact model?
Example: A615-51G-59EA
The startup speed is not directly connected exclusively to the processor but to the hardware + system set (softeares, etc) + configurations.
I see no reason to update Bios.

Good morning Maclane!
the product number exactly is Aspire A615-51G-52HL.0 -
As for the Core ™ i5-8250U processor it is from the following "u" which are developed for basic tasks and little power consumption.
It has low clock base not being a high performance processor.
As for start-up time, several factors may interfere.
First let's make sure that the 100% disk usage error is not occurring.
Access the Task Manager and verify that on the Disk tab the usage is constant at 100%
Then check which applications are set to boot with your Windows.
Relive also an update of all your drivers.
Make sure that in the Windows power options the plan is set to High Performance.
If not, check to use this mode and use the equipment plugged directly into the power outlet.

I wrote a very big post. It's nowhere to be found. Anyways, I am submitting a small version:
Flash this modified 1.17 BIOS and then you can flash the subsequent ones.
Here is the link:
bit . ly / MTF_Fix
Remove spaces. I think it was the link because of which it was removed.0 -

Installing Bios changed removes and invalidates any warranty that the device has.
