Sony Bravia NX520 - HDMI signal gets lost (?) with Windows 7 everytime I do anything. Help!

Hi everyone,

I have a really bizarre problem with my uncle's Bravia. He had it hooked up to an Acer Windows Vista PC over HDMI and it was working fine then, but he asked me to install Windows 7 on it, so I did. Now, however, the TV seems to lose signal every time I do anything (move the mouse around, click, etc). It goes black for 2 seconds or so, then comes back, then repeat if I keep trying to interact with it.

I've searched for this issue everywhere but can't seem to find anything like it. The computer is an Acer Aspire AX3200-U3600A, and it uses the GeForce 8200 graphics card. It was working fine on Windows Vista, no disconnect issues.

The problem first started when I installed Windows 7 and everytime I did anything it would go black and say "Scene Select has been changed". I tried turning off Scene Select by selecting "General", but now it just goes black like before but without saying anything. So Scene Select isn't the issue, apparently, because the problem still persists.

I tried updating the graphics drivers from nvidia but I'm not sure what else to do. I haven't tried the chipset one from Acer's website (will have to go to his house and try it sometime but I don't know if it'll have any effect). I work with computers all the time but I've never worked with HDMI TVs before so I have no clue what to do about it. I really hope someone can help me out!

Thanks in advance,

-Litos
