My laptop lost the ability to boot from USB during an attempted SSD upgrade and the original hard drive is now blank. How do I either get windows 10 on the blank hard drive or get the ability to boot from USB back? Also the laptop has no disc drive. laptop is an a315-21-95kf. motherboard was replaced under warranty several years ago. The machine originally had windows 7 and was upgraded during the free upgrade.

    Good Morning drivenrive !

Only if the USB controllers are burned would it not be possible to use them.
Maybe you should be performing some part of the wrong process.

Has the installation pendrive been formatted and created to support GPT in UEFi mode?
    Is Bios in UEFi mode?
    Is SecureBoot disabled?
Is the SSD in GPT format?
    Is Windows ISO x64?
